Registered Early Childhood Educator since 2007. I have always been passionate about giving back to the community both through my chosen line of work and through my volunteer work. As a Canadian Sri Lankan Muslim Woman, I can appreciate the diversity and inclusiveness in my community.  As a Director of the CSMWA I work towards making a positive impact in the lives of those who are less fortunate by helping to alleviate poverty and raising their standard of living.

I am a Financial Services Professional, having worked with both Canadian and US Institutions, in a management capacity. I have contributed to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion initiatives within the workplace as well as had participation in the professional Women’s Network and Employee Management Counsel. I look forward to making strong contributions to CSMWA, supporting and advancing initiatives within the community.

I am very excited to be serving as CSMWA’s President! I currently work with children with Special Needs at the Toronto District School Board, where I spend every day helping to foster the potential of dozens of amazing children. In the past, I have worked in Palliative Care and have also served in my union’s board as recording secretary, supporting fellow employees as we worked towards increasing welfare in the workplace.  As a women’s rights advocate and strong supporter of children, I am so excited to apply my experience and passions to the CSMWA!

A Daughter, Sister, Wife and Mother as well as a Barrister and Solicitor with over 20 years Legal Experience and my passion for helping the ones in Need has led me to be one of the founders of this organization.  I believe Empowering women can transform societies to alleviate poverty and CSMWA has provided me the opportunity to work towards that goal.

I am an Early Childhood Educator by profession, with over 18 years of experience in the field. I find fulfilment through enriching the little minds around me and volunteering my time in helping others to the best of my ability. I envision a world where poverty is eradicated, women are empowered, and every child is cared for. In all of us coming together, I have faith that this can be achieved.

I am a passionate individual looking forward to supporting and providing family-friendly services in the community. Through my line of volunteering, I’ve developed an interest in putting positive impacts and giving to those who are less fortunate. I also help out my husband’s restaurant business, both kitchen prep and paperwork. I am a new member of CSMWA and believe this organization can be much appreciated by the community for the great things we will achieve.

I am a homemaker. In the little time I have for myself, I like to Volunteer and Work for my community as a dutiful Muslim in hopes that we progress towards betterment. It is my belief that the small, but beneficial good we do as adults, will inspire the generations after us to care for their community.
